Rationale: The paper examines the localization of kappa-type opioid receptor in dopaminergic terminals at the nucleus Accumbens using electron microscopic immunocytochemistry.
Figure 1, 2 and 3 present immunoreactivities for kappa-type opioid receptors in axon terminals, partially localizing to DAT immunoreactivities (quantified in figure 1). The immunostaining is found at the axonal plasma membrane and at the membrane of small SVs.
