Rationale: In purified synaptosomes from rat brain, cytohesin-2 interacts with the PDZ domain-containing protein tamalin, which binds mGluR1 at the postsynaptic membrane. The binding of cytohesin-2 to tamalin was identified in a Y2H screen. Cytohesin-2 is enriched in PSD-fractions (Fig. 6a). PSD-95 and mGluR1 were mostly enriched in the PSDIII fraction, whereas tamalin and cytohesin-2 were enriched in the PSDII fraction, indicating a more loosely association with postsynaptic membranes. Antibody: Rabbit cytohesin-2 antisera were raised against an N-terminal sequence (aa 1-26). The antibody exhibited some (<5%) cross-reactivity with cytohesin-1 and -3. No KO-control.
